Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg. flour
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 vanilla shot
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups lukewarm water (about)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Frying oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • some cinnamon

Instructions

Put the flour with the yeast, the sugar and the vanilla in a deep pot and mix.
Open a hole in the middle. Pour water gradually and continue mixing until it becomes an even pulp. In the end put the salt. Cover it with a towel and leave it in a warm place to raise (for about 1 hour).
Mix slowly and take the pulp in your hands. With a teaspoon that you water it all the time, cut small pieces of the pulp and throw them in plenty of heated frying oil. Push the doughnuts down with a perforated spoon to become golden. Take them out and put them on kitchen paper to strain. Serve them hot in a big platter and sprinkle them with honey, nuts and cinnamon.
